uniscapeThe Enerscapes partners MIEMA, RAEE and Lazio Region participated to the Fourth Careggi Seminar "Renewable energies and landscape" that took place in Florence, 6th of November 2012, organized by UNISCAPE, the European Network of Universities for the implementation of the European Landscape Convention. MIEMA illustrated the Enerscapes MED project and its partnership, structure, objectives, methodology and actions. In particular, MIEMA focused on the landscape assessment methodology that has been defined to evaluate the impacts on landscapes and to define the development procedures for "RES-Landscape Action Plans" adaptable to different territorial contexts and functional for the development of local resources.

The RAEE presented the participatory process set up to introduce PV solar plants in the Natural Regional Parks of Rhone-Alpes, target area of the Enerscapes project, and the landscape evaluation assessment approach.

Lazio Region in collaboration with the University of Roma3 presented the methodology for the development of multiple energy-landscape Scenarios for the construction of the Pontine Plain Action plan.

University of Roma3, as scientific consultant for Lazio Region, presented the Role of Landscape Assessment in the RES Introduction Process, illustrating some best practices and the Lazio Case studies.

CiMo2012 BIC Lazio (Business Innovation Centre Lazio) and Lazio Region organized the meeting from the title "Criticità e prospettive per le città del futuro" ("Problems and prospects for future cities"), on 25th of May in Rome. This was the final round of the cycle of conferences planned by the "Corrente in movimento" 2012 project, after those ones of Genoa, Naples and Venice.

During the conference, "Enerscapes Project: territory, landscape & renewable energy" has been presented.

Promoting Sustainable Mobility - Friday 30th March 2012, the Palace Hotel, Balzan.

MIEMA is working on establishing a car-sharing system that can contribute to reduce traffic congestion and address environmental concerns. This project will be carried out on behalf of the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs (MRRA) and is a local initiative to combat climate change by the use of collective transport systems.
